Is your cottage climate change ready?
Scientists are telling us that we are already facing more extreme weather. The National Research Council is currently updating the national model codes to adapt to this new reality of intense precipitation and drought, longer and more extreme heat waves, more significant flooding and more.
What can cottage owners do to A) prepare their cottage for extreme weather? B) reduce the climate footprint of their cottage? Both steps are key to insure the safety and security of buildings and to reduce the effects of climate change for generations to come.
